Wilma B. Liebman
President Obama designated Wilma B. Liebman as Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board on January 20, 2009. She served as Chairman until August 2011, when her third term expired. Since then, she has served in various consulting roles and taught at several universities. Ms. Liebman was first appointed to be a Member of the NLRB by President Clinton and was twice reappointed by President Bush. Earlier, Ms. Liebman served as Deputy Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Serviceand as counsel with the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. She is a graduate of Barnard College and George Washington University Law School.
